Set up a Tenda wireless extender?

If you see this page, your phone, computer, or other device may not be connected directly to the extender’s Wi-Fi network. Connect to the extender’s Wi-Fi, then try accessing the management page again at http://re.tenda.cn

Solution 1

Connect to the extender's Wi-Fi and turn off mobile data before trying to access http://re.tenda.cn

Scenario A: The extender uses a different Wi-Fi name

If the extender's Wi-Fi name (for example, Tenda_EXT) differs from the router's (for example, Tenda), connect your phone or computer to the extender's Wi-Fi. Then access http://re.tenda.cn in your browser.

Scenario B: The extender uses the same Wi-Fi name as the router

If the extender and router use the same Wi-Fi name (for example, both use Tenda), your phone or computer may connect to the router instead of the extender. In this case, you may be unable to access the extender's management page.

*Extenders that support Tenda Wi-Fi+ or EasyMesh can form a Mesh network with compatible Tenda or third-party routers. After setup, the extender automatically uses the same Wi-Fi name as the upstream router.

Try one of the following:

(a) Move close to the extender and connect to its Wi-Fi. Do not place the extender too close to the router. Then open a browser and visit http://re.tenda.cn

(b) For extenders with an Ethernet port, turn off Wi-Fi on your computer. Connect the computer to the extender using an Ethernet cable, then open a browser and visit http://re.tenda.cn

Solution 2

Manage the extender via Tenda WiFi App. Some extender models, such as A9, T10, and R10, do not support app management. Refer to your actual model.

1. Search for Tenda WiFi in the App Store to download the app.
2. Refresh the page. The app will automatically detect the extender. If the extender has not been added, add it first.
3. Enter the management password to manage the extender in the app.

Solution 3

Access the extender management page via IP address.

1. Log in to the upstream router's management page and find the IP address assigned to the extender.
2. Enter the extender's IP address in your browser address bar to access its management page.

Tip: The extender's IP address is usually listed under Connected Devices or DHCP Client List on the upstream router.

场景 A：Wi-Fi与上级路由器名称不同

如果扩展器的Wi-Fi名称与上级路由器的Wi-Fi名称不一样（如：上级路由器Wi-Fi为"Tenda"，扩展器Wi-Fi名称为"Tenda_EXT"），手机或电脑连接到扩展器的Wi-Fi "Tenda_EXT"，连接成功后打开浏览器访问 http://re.tenda.cn 。

场景 B：Wi-Fi与上级路由器名称相同

如果扩展器的Wi-Fi名称与上级路由器的Wi-Fi名称一样（如：上级路由器Wi-Fi为"Tenda"，扩展器Wi-Fi名称同为"Tenda"）。此时手机或电脑连接Wi-Fi "Tenda"时，可能连接的依然是路由器的Wi-Fi，导致无法访问管理页面。

*支持迅展或EasyMesh的扩展器可与Tenda迅展路由器或兼容EasyMesh的其它品牌的路由器组网，组网成功后扩展器的Wi-Fi名称会同步上级路由器的Wi-Fi名称。

可尝试如下解决方案：

(a) 在扩展器附近连接其Wi-Fi（扩展器勿太靠近路由器），然后打开浏览器尝试访问 http://re.tenda.cn。

(b)（适用于扩展器支持网口）关闭电脑的无线连接，用网线将电脑的网口接到扩展器网口，然后在电脑上打开浏览器尝试访问 http://re.tenda.cn 。

解决方案 2

通过App管理扩展器，部分扩展器不支持App管理（比如A9/A12），请以实际为准。

1. 在应用商店搜索"Tenda WiFi"下载App。
2. 刷新页面，App将自动发现扩展器。若扩展器未被绑定，请先绑定扩展器。
3. 输入管理密码，即可通过App管理扩展器。

解决方案 3

通过IP地址访问扩展器管理页面。

1. 访问上级路由器管理页面，找到扩展器获取到的IP地址。
2. 在浏览器地址栏中输入扩展器的IP地址即可访问扩展器管理页面。

提示：IP地址通常可以在上级路由器的“已连接的设备列表”或者“DHCP客户端列表”中找到。
